New! Lear Stevens Aviation Services Latin American Division |
|
It is with long awaited anticipation and
pride that Lear Stevens Aviation Services, Inc. is now doing business
internationally! We welcome our newest International
Division, headed by Gustavo Mosqueda Gonzales, of Celaya
Mexico. Fluent in Spanish and English, Gustavo will make your
next Latin American aircraft import/export acquisition as seamless as he
did his own. Yes, Gustavo is another happy customer of Lear
Stevens Aviation Services, Inc.
As was the case for Gustavo, pilot training in Mexico can be cost prohibitive. Determined to realize his dream of flying, Gustavo chose a lucrative career in Computer Systems Engineering and graduated from University, Irapuato City, in 2003 with his degree. To further his career, and to assimilate his aviation pursuits into his profession, Gustavo accepted an appointment with his government as a Communication and Transports Secretary at the General Direction of Civil Aviation and as an Aeronautical Verifier Inspector at the Bajio International Airport. His duties are many and varied and include: Aircraft Inspections (physical and legal), Pilot Licenses Revalidation, Accident and Incident Investigations, Air Transport Companies Inspections (technical and Administrative), Aviation School Inspections, Airport Installation Certifications and Ramp Inspections. In 2006, he was transferred to Celaya Regional Airport. Finally, in 2007 Gustavo could finance his private pilot training, which he completed in seven months! He is currently nearing the end of his Commercial training and will complete his certificate in his newly acquired Cessna 172 from Lear Stevens Aviation Services, Inc. For all your Latin American Import/Exports, please call Gustavo direct from USA Cell: 011 52 462 1054448 Office from USA: 011 52 462 6352163 or email: gmg@learstevensaviation |

There's some good news on the general aviation front. The outlook is brightening.
Brian Foley with Brian Foley Associates notes some key evidence that there will be measurable signs of recovery by mid-2010. For example, Foley notes that the U.S. Treasury yield curve is widening to a record, which signals recovery, and the U.S. Gross Domestic Product climbed 2.2 percent in the third quarter of 2009, the fastest pace since 2007. A 3 percent growth in GDP indicates a favorable aircraft sales environment, Foley says. In addition, stock markets around the world have rebounded, and the dollar value is low. "With their strong local currencies and faster healing economies, it's our thesis that non-U.S. buyers will deplete the most desirable pre-owned inventory, forcing still-recovering U.S. buyers to lead the new aircraft recovery later," Foley said. Inflation isn't a problem yet, he says, but some people may hedge by buying high-value assets like an airplane at today's depressed prices and low interest rates. And pent-up demand for aircraft "can't be overlooked" he said. "Just as some individual investors regret having sold their stocks at a market low, there's likely a degree of remorse among one-time buyers who canceled orders prematurely," Foley said. Lastly, a typical general aviation cycle lasts around six years, but this down cycle was compressed into a short period of time. The industry tumbled in a matter of months, not years. "With that catastrophic event largely behind us, we've likely already embarked on what will hopefully be a full six-year upswing," Foley said. |
