William A. (Bill) Yearby
 Growing
up in the era of Sputnik, Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo, Bill was hooked on
aviation at an early age. Even though his first aerial vehicle was a huge
tire swing, suspended from an oak tree in his parents’ yard, he dreamed of
flying.
During high school and college, he began his flight training.
Busy with school, working, and raising a family, his training was sporadic
over the next twenty years, but he never lost sight of the aviation dreams
of his youth.
Majoring in Education, and receiving a B.S.E. degree from
Henderson State University in Arkansas, Bill taught in public schools in
Arkansas, and then Texas for ten years. During this time, he received a
M.ED. from Texas A & M.
Ready for a new endeavor, Bill obtained his
Real Estate License. He spent seven years as an agent before becoming a
licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas in 1997. Since then, he’s enjoyed
brokering deals and putting people and houses together to form a perfect
match.
Never losing sight of his dream, Bill finally was able to buy
his first airplane; a 1948 Luscombe 8A. He proudly hand-cranked the
vintage aircraft, and learned about “stick and rudder.” After buying and
selling ten of his own planes, Bill discovered that matching people and
planes together could develop into a rewarding new field for him.
Bill
chose to be an Associate Broker with Lear Stevens Aviation Services, Inc.
because of the company’s long standing respect in the Aviation Community,
their devotion to Flight Training, their maintenance facility, and their
ties to prospects in the US and abroad. Based out of Dallas, and the North
Texas area, his locations offer clients an expanded base for purchases and
sales in the South West. Integrity and excellent service have been his
trademark qualities throughout his Real Estate career, and remain his
primary focus in aviation.
Bill is now living the dream that began in
his youth, while he gazed skyward from that old oak tree in his parents’
